IMPORTANT NOTE: Biofuel Producer Payment Program Enrollment Deadline Approaching

Dear Readers:

At the end of September, the USDA announced in a press release that one hundred sixty companies in 41 states were recipients of the 2011 Advanced Biofuel Producer Payments, which support and ensure the production and expansion of advanced biofuels. Of those companies, 28 were pellet fuel manufacturers. Click here for a list of 2011 recipients and their payment amounts (PDF).

There's still time to get in your 2012 application, but the deadline of October 31, 2011 is closing fast. Keep in mind that even if you signed up/enrolled for payments for FY 2011, you will still need to sign-up/enroll again for 2012 payments. Also, if you have questions, you should contact your state or nearest local "area" USDA Rural Development Office. Once you are enrolled and a contract is signed, USDA will notify you to submit quarterly payment requests.

For information on 2012 eligibility and financing, click this link. And you can download the 2012 application by clicking here (PDF).

Best wishes,

Craig Rawlings
