Funding Urged for Fuels Reduction and Forest Restoration Work

Recently, 51 organizations, including the Nature Conservancy, the Grand Canyon Trust, the Western Governors Association and the American Forest Resources Council, jointly signed a letter to Congressman Norm Dicks [D-WA], chairman of the House Interior Appropriations Subcommittee and Congressman Mike Simpson [R-IDA] urging their support for adequate funding for the Forest Service's hazardous fuels reduction and forest landscape restoration programs.
