Dear Subscribers:

For the past eight years, the non-profit Montana Community Development Corporation (MCDC) and I have been publishing Smallwood-News and TimberBuySell.com with the goal of being your guide to the ever-changing, but always exciting worlds of small-diameter timber and woody biomass utilization. MCDC recently decided it could no longer support the Web site and newsletter. After getting input from many readers, I felt it was important to keep the site and newsletter running so I acquired the rights to both at the end of last year. I am committed to keeping Smallwood-News and TimberBuySell.com the trusted sources in small diameter timber and woody biomass news, business trends, buy/sell ads, jobs and events - information that readers often say they can't find anywhere else.

But there's always room for improvement, as you can see in today's newsletter. I hope you like the new look and feel and welcome your comments and feedback. I'll be announcing more changes in upcoming issues, so stay tuned.
