The U.S. forest products industry continues to reduce its environmental footprint - this according to the 2010 Sustainability Report, published by the American Forest and Paper Association, a Washington, D.C.-based association that represents the interests of the nation’s pulp and paper producers. Moreover, 65 percent of the energy needed to operate member pulp and paper mills is generated from renewable resources.
