His latest efforts are nearby: an updated version of his earlier "Timber Resource Management" Power Point and a fascinating photograph, "One Landscape: Four Views," that shows what is happening on adjacent public and private forests at Deep Creek, near Townsend, Montana.
Editor's comment concerning Mike Petersen's (Executive Director - Lands Council) Response To Dr. Tom Bonnicksen's Essay, "Death Of A Forest: Why We Should Care"
Mike Crouse is the owner, publisher, editor-janitor, chief cook and bottle washer at Logger’s World, a tabloid newspaper that serves America’s logging industry. It’s a homey publication, founded in 1964 by the late Finley Hays. Crouse bought Logger’s World and Log Trucker Magazine from Hays several years ago, though Hays continued to write for him until shortly before his death at age 90 in December 2008, We have long admired Mike’s work and though you might enjoy reading his always provocative column, which appears monthly in both publications.
