REST IN PEACE

Shawn Thomas Lugano
South Tower. Eighty-eighth floor. World Trade Center

Shawn was a 28-year-old stockbroker working for Keefe, Bruyette and Woods.
After al-Qaeda terrorists flew United Flight 175 into the South Tower, Shawn and
several other men gave up their places on a crowded elevator so a group of ladies
could board. About 600 South Tower workers were killed.

Fifty-one passengers and nine crew members on 175 were also killed.
Another 1,400 workers died in the collapse of the North Tower
Eighty-seven passengers and crewmembers died instantly when al-Qaeda
terrorists flew American Airlines Flight 11 into the North Tower.

Another 184 died at the Pentagon, including 64 passengers and crewmembers
aboard highjacked American Flight 77.

Forty-four gave their lives when United Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville,
Pennsylvania. The hijacked flight was supposed to obliterate our nation’s Capital
but passengers led by Todd Beamer broke into the cockpit and attempted to seize
control of the Boeing 757. Beamer’s unforgettable last words “Let’s roll” were
recorded by a 911 operator.

Shawn Lugano’s remains have never been found.
We must never forget.
