Another 184 died at the Pentagon, including 64 passengers and crewmembers aboard highjacked American Flight 77.
Forty-four gave their lives when United Flight 93 crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania. The hijacked flight was supposed to obliterate our nation’s Capital but passengers led by Todd Beamer broke into the cockpit and attempted to seize control of the Boeing 757. Beamer’s unforgettable last words “Let’s roll” were recorded by a 911 operator.
Shawn Lugano’s remains have never been found. We must never forget.
